The synthetic oil that is entering the turbo air inlet is literally being pumped into the cylinders and burned. This is in addition to the engine oil being supplied to the turbo bearings, which actually need it. Mobile 1 synthetic is not what the CRD engine was designed to ignite. It works just great in the crankcase.

Hi All. I am new to this forum and love it already. I am looking to buy a Jeep Cherokee, 4x4, 2.8 CRD Ltd, 2006, Manual, 67000km. I am in need of advice from the more experienced 4x4 users (You) as this will be the 1st time that I buy one. I would like to know what I should be looking at, do's and dont's with the Jeep Cherokee, 2.8 CRD Ltd, 2006.
We’re still waiting. Now, as this review publishes, the price remains higher: an average $2.54 per gallon nationally, while regular gasoline is $2.37. The more I learn about energy, the more it My engine started making a worrying sound a while back. There's a kind of tick which is audible at light throttle from around 1400 to 2000 rpm. First sign of trouble came at startup after the first time I changed the oil and filter. There was a loud knock from the engine bay two times before the oil pressure went up.

Description. Inspired by styling from the Dakar and Jeepster concept vehicles, the Liberty was designed by Bob Boniface in 1998. Intended as a replacement for the discontinued Jeep Cherokee (XJ), the Liberty was the first Jeep vehicle to use rack and pinion steering and the two then-new PowerTech engines: the 150 horsepower (110 kW) 2.4 L straight-4, which was discontinued in 2006, and the 210 With 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque the 2.8L “Mini-Duramax” is the ideal choice for Colorado or Canyon owners that will be towing or carrying loads in the bed. Fuel economy is also very impressive, with up to 22 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway for 2 wheel-drive models. This Inline-4 cylinder duramax diesel engine is also one
During its initial years, the 2.5-liter four-pot managed 105 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque. However, as revisions came along, power saw a spike with outputs topping out at 130 horsepower and 150 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2.5 was slightly detuned for the Wrangler and produced 121 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft. of torque at its peak.
On the whole, a diesel suits the Wrangler well. Having said that, the 2.8 CRD is total crap. It is a truly awful engine. Driving the 3.6 after test driving the 2.8 makes the 3.6 feel like a super car. The reason most people take the diesel version, in Germany at least is one of basic economics.
